Queen Victoria Park, Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful public park that is quite popular with locals and tourists alike. It was named in 1897 to honour Queen Victoria for her Diamond Jubilee. Located next to the Nuwara Eliya Post Office, the park was originally the research field of Hakgala Botanical Garden. The playground that is found here makes it appealing for families travelling with children while the rare species of birds make it a bird watcher’s paradise.
