THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
ABOUT DAMBULLA, SRI LANKA

The resort i s a 3.5 hour (86 miles / 140km) drive from the Bandaranaike International Airport.

There is no specific dress code when you visit Sigiriya. It’s not a sacred or religious site so you won’t be required to cover up too much.

The weather in Dambulla is mostly sunny and rather hot. However it can be cloudy during the winters. The best time to visit for activities is usually August and September, but it’s absolutely beautiful all year round.

The Dambulla cave temple is a sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries and is one of the main attractions in Dambulla. The Kandalama lake too, is a beautiful and scenic site and Amaya Lake is surrounded by its beauty. The Sigiriya rock fortress is a must-visit as well.

There’s plenty for the adventure enthusiasts. From barge boat rides on the Kandalama lake to mountain biking, bird watching and of course the incredible Amuna experience – our Ayurveda resort located just 5 minutes away.
